Born and raised in Austin, TX, Kat Webb came to NYC to become a screenwriter. She majored in English at Yale University (c/o 2007) to hone her craft, but her musical experience, expertise and training never let her forget music was another of her true passions.

She began her musical journey in NYC as a songwriter, but became frustrated with the lack of drive of the artists for whom she wrote. She then decided she would sing herself, as a background vocalist. Again, she became disillusioned by the lack of vision and drive the headlining singers she supported had.

She took a break from singing altogether to act as an audio engineer in an analog studio in Brooklyn, Royal Blue Studios. There, she met countless musicians and vocalists that were talented beyond her comprehension.

So, after years of procrastination and denial, she finally accepted that she had the connections, the training and the desire to become a vocal artist in her own right. Kat Webb is currently working on her debut release, an album of old school classics that highlights her vocal prowess and is sure to make even the most modern listener nostalgic.
